Thank You from The Jimmy Fund

During HSKS5 the American/Canadian charity was The Jimmy Fund.  The Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a place where children and their families find hope. For people in New England and around the globe, the Jimmy Fund Clinic is one of the world's premier centers for pediatric cancer research and treatment.

They had asked that I hold onto the hats until the Fall/Winter of 2008-09. Today I received a letter. It reads:

Dear Jennifer,

Your groups generous donation of the adorable hand knit hats to the Jimmy Fund Clinic was absolutely wonderful.  I could tell that a great deal of love and creativity was placed into each of these beautiful gifts, and it is very much appreciated.

It was so much fun watching the kids pick out their very own hat. Once just the right one was chosen, they immediately placed it on their head and smiled as wide as could be.  They are all walking around the clinic looking quite stylish!

You should all know that you truly made a huge difference in the lives of these very special children. You not only made their day, but you made mine as well; seeing them smile is what it is all about.

The Jimmy Fund is fortunate to have such great friends who take the time and energy to think of these children and make their time in treatment a bit more bearable.

Fondly,
Lisa Scherber,
