Gryffindor Assignment - History of Magic

Posted by Lizzie Wychwood in ,

Firstly congratulations to the Gryffindor Muggle Studies prize-winner...

Penelope of Flitwick!

Secondly, Headmistress Wartbobble has kindly let us have this weekend for a trip to Hogsmeade following the excitement of quidditch. For this week's homework, Gryffindor students are required to post about the historical significance of a place they have visited in Hogsmeade over the course of the weekend. Top marks will be awarded for expanding upon the core facts by explaining how they are relevant to the modern wizarding world.

This assignment must be submitted by 12 midnight Saturday 28th February.

For this assignment you will use the childhood skill of pretending :) Well, this whole swap is about pretending, really :) So, you will write a post about your pretend visit to Hogsmead - http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizworld/places/w_pl_hogsmeade.html - and per the instructions in this post you'll expound on a particular place. This is just fodder for your required weekly posting. It is not mandatory that you post about a trip to Hogsmeade, but it does make for interesting reading for your housemates.

Well done to those posting early so far, and Pren, your Hogsmeade post will count, feel free to supplement it with matters of historical significance involving the boy you saw and a time turner!
